On Thursday that is the 4th, of April a public holiday has been announced by Sindh government on account of the 40th death anniversary of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the founder of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and also the former prime minister of the party.
A notification has been issued this Monday, to announce about the holiday.
As per the notification, all corporate and local councils that are under the control of the Sindh government, also the autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies and all the offices would remain closed on 4th April.
Recently the provincial government of Sindh has imposed section 144 around the examination centres in Karachi for discouraging the use of unlawful ways and methods during the matriculation exams.
As per the released notification by the home department of Sindh, the SHOs have been granted the authority to register complaints of the illegal means and to take action against the violation of section 144 around the examination centres.
The fuel prices have surged by Rs6 per litre, despite the rise in petrol prices, the transporters of Karachi have denied raising the bus fares. They have asked the government to reduce the prices and have termed this act as an act of cruelty against the transporters and the public.
