Earlier today, the Sindh government announced a lockdown of public libraries for visitors all over the province due to an increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country.
As per the reports, all public libraries in Sindh shall remain in lockdown till January 10th.
Furthermore, the notification added that new timings of the libraries starting tomorrow, for official functions, to be 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, while allowing only 50% staff to be present.
The notification further read that the present staff will guarantee strict obedience to coronavirus SOPs by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
Earlier today, PM Khan addressing a Pakistan Strategy Dialogue session organized by the World Economic Forum (WEF) said the national economy has embarked on the right track with stability.
The PM said that his government while trying to control the COVID-19 spread, ensured people don’t fall victim to shortage and guaranteed financial aids to daily wagers whose nourishment was in question in the lockdown.
The dialogue today was held via a video link wherein PM Khan highlighted Pakistan’s fight with COVID-19 which he said was different than in other countries in terms of smart lockdown steps taken to give space for the economic survival of lower-income-class people and in terms of results and the first pandemic wave was controlled.
