Under strict SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure), Sindh Government has allowed the resumption of inter-district transport in Sindh.
On Friday, a notification was issued according to which the ban will be eased on obligatory implementation of Standard operating procedures in every passenger bus.
As per the notification, all passengers are asked to maintain a distance of three feet from each other, also everyone while traveling on the bus, coach or van must use face masks and hand sanitizers.
The notification read that the use of hand gloves and face masks is compulsory for all the travelers and also for the drivers and conductors.
On the other hand, Inter-provincial public transport is still banned.
All transporters are asked to ensure the implementation of the SOPs provided by the government. Also, they have to ensure that the hand sanitizers are available and that all the passengers are wearing face masks in the vehicle or else strict action will be taken against the transporters.
In June, the Sindh government allowed the resumption of public transport and online ride-hailing services under strict SOPs.
This decision came into effect after the successful talk between the transporters and the Sindh Transport Minister Owais Shah. The Transport minister insisted the government to permit the transporters to bring back their buses on the roads.
