On Wednesday, Sindh Government gave permission to hold congregational prayers and as well as Jummatul-wida prayers. Saeed Ghani provincial minister said that it seemed quite an unjust thing to restore all businesses and places but not prayers.
Both the days, strict implementation of the advised SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) will be observed, as per some details.
While announcing the decision in a press conference in Sindh Assembly, Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the prayers will be conducted in wide and open spaces with distance in between every worshiper. He further added that if a large number of people gather at a single place then the prayers will be conducted in different batches and the worshipers will have to wait for their turn.
The education minister also allowed to conduct congregations for the fortunate night of laylat-al-qadr.
Earlier, the Sindh government also agreed to extend the closing time for the businesses in the province during COVID-19 lockdown.
Sindh Minister for Information Nasir Hussain Shah said that if the decision gets approval at the federal level then they will also have to extend the closing time of the businesses in Sindh.
According to him even if the supreme court directs an order to extend the timings for the closure of the businesses, they are ready to implement it.
