On Friday, the Sindh Education Department called a meeting to discuss the matter of school closure amid the rising cases of COVID-19.
As per the reports, the meeting will be attended by representatives of the private schools association.
The stakeholders will consider suggestions made by the federal government with regard to educational institutes.
Previously in the meeting of National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), the federal and provincial education ministers suggested early and extended winter vacations in schools amid the second of coronavirus in Pakistan.
It was discussed in the meeting that cases in Pakistan have increased to a dangerous level. Commenting on the situation, Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mehmood said we cannot play with the lives of students and teachers.
Later the meeting was deferred till next week. A decision on the closure of educational institutions will be made next week. The next session is scheduled for 23rd Nov.
