Following in the footsteps of Lahore, Sialkot has become the second district of the Punjab province to get a sightseeing bus service of its own.
The double-decker bus service—called Wekh Sialkot was introduced on Tuesday with the objective of promoting tourism in the city.
The project is a launch of a public-private partnership. The bus service has been introduced on the initiative of the deputy commissioner of the Sialkot city.
The bus has got the capacity of 64 passengers and the complete cost of the project is nearly Rs.30million, as per the service manager.
The bus service tickets are available for just Rs.400 and they would enable the citizens to pay a visit to the historical and religious locations. The tour would be 4-hour long.
