Shortage of COVID-19 Testing Kits across Government Hospitals in Lahore

Coronavirus testing kits are running out of stock in the government hospitals of Lahore.

Hospitals that are experiencing a shortage of testing kits include; General hospital, Jinnah hospital, Mayo hospital, and services hospital. All these above-mentioned hospitals were provided with hundred testing kits, added the Incharge corona lab.

The provided stock ended up in an hour and so far no new testing kits have not been provided to the hospitals.

According to the sources, there are a lot of people coming to the hospitals for the test but all the patients are being sent back without tests.

The primary and secondary healthcare department said that in Punjab, within twenty-four hours 1813 new COVID-19 cases have been reported taking the total number of infections in the province to 38,903.

One of the spokespersons of the healthcare department said that in the past twenty-four hours, 32 people died from coronavirus. Now the total number of deaths in Punjab increases to 715.

Out of 1813 new cases, 1045 have reported in Lahore.

The total number of coronavirus patients in Pakistan has surpassed 100,000. Within 24 hours, 4,728 new cases have been reported from all over Pakistan which raises the total tally to 103,671.
