As per local media, the minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has been shifted to the hospital after he tested positive for the coronavirus.
The family sources have denied the news about the minister being shifted to the hospital owing to the complications related to COVID-19.
They revealed that the leader’s condition is stable and is only shifted to the hospital as a precautionary step.
It is important to mention that the minister has tested positive for COVID-19 on the 8th of this month. A spokesperson of the Pakistan Railways informed media that the minister went into self-quarantine at his home after he tested positive for the virus.
The spokesperson said that Sheikh Rasheed is asymptomatic but as he tested positive for the coronavirus, he has self-isolated himself for fourteen days on the doctors’ advice.
It should be mentioned that many top politicians have been tested positive for the virus in Pakistan as the count of the virus is heading towards its peak.
Many Parliamentarians and the provincial assemblies members have also got the virus as they attend or intend to join the budget sessions in the respective assemblies.
