SHC Issues Notice to Karachi Mayor Over Flies Abundance

The Sindh High Court—SHC has issued a notice to the Mayor of Karachi over the abundance of flies in the city.

Wasim Akhtar—the mayor of Karachi and other officials received a notice over an application submitted against the abundance of house flies in the city of lights.

The court has sent notices to the DMCs and Wasim Akhtar after a citizen submitted an application asking for action over the increased flies’ situation in the city.

When the court resumed the hearing session on Wednesday, it once again gave notices to Wasim Akhtar, the local bodies secretary and DMCs and asked them to make sure to be present in the next hearing.

Swarms of flies have fallen upon the port city following heavy rains in the city. The city has been flooded with drainage water and clogged systems with heaps of gathered garbage and with the sewage rate.
