Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who is the former PM of Pakistan and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has tested positive for COVID-19, as per the reports of local media.
The news was revealed by the spokesperson of PML-N, Maryam Aurangzeb. She further said that he has quarantined himself at his home.
Previously, Sheharyar Afridi who is the Minister of State for Narcotics announced that he has tested positive for the virus.

He took it to Twitter to reveal about getting positive results for the novel virus and said that he has gone into self-quarantine ever since he has obtained positive coronavirus test results.
The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan has now surpassed the mark of 100,000 and presently stands at 103,671 after the identification of 4,278 new cases in the span of the last twenty-four hours.
As per the latest shared data by the National Command and Operation Centre, the death count of the COVID-19 affected people is currently recorded at 2,067 with 65 more virus-related deaths reported in the span of the last 24-hours.
