Shafqat Mehmood Rubbishes Reports about Schools Closing from October 15th

Recently, rumors were spreading out saying that the government is planning on closing all educational institutes from the 15th of October as the COVID-19 cases are increasing again in Pakistan. But the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood rejected all fake reports earlier today.

The Education Minister rejected the fake news report through his twitter account, said the reports.

Moreover, Murad Raas the Education Minister of Punjab has also rejected all similar reports and urged people to practice all COVID-19 SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) properly.

All the educational institutions have reopened from the 15th of September all over Pakistan which were closed on the orders of the Federal Government for almost six months in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood said that 171, 400 tests were conducted from the schools and only 1284 students and teachers were tested positive with COVID-19.

In total, Pakistan has 316, 000 coronavirus cases and 6, 535 deaths have been reported up till now. Within the last twenty-four hours, twelve deaths and 634 new cases have been reported in Pakistan.
