Security in the provincial capital of Punjab, Lahore is on high alert as people are celebrating Youm-e-Ali today (Monday) and on the other hand, a visit of the Chinese Vice President to the city is also scheduled.
According to the details, the authorities have imposed a ban on pillion riding in the city and mobile phone services would also remain unavailable from 9 am to 8 pm.
As per the details, more than 3,000 security personnel have been deployed on several places for the security of the procession of Youm-e-Ali. The details further said that the Ring Road and Service Road will remain closed from 3 pm to 6 pm.
No one will be allowed to join the procession of Youm-e-Ali without being searched by the authorities first.
On the other hand, the Chinese Vice President Wang will be meeting Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and the Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar during his visit to Lahore.
The Vice President of China Mr Wang is in Pakistan on a three-day official visit and arrived in Pakistan on Sunday.
