As part of Ease of Doing Business Policy in Pakistan and Digital Pakistan Policy 2016-17, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and 1Link (Guarantee) Ltd steps forward and inked an agreement on Thursday which is focused on developing and facilitating users of SECP’s e-services to pay fees using ATMs and internet banking.
Commissioner SECP Tahir Mehmood and Chief Executive Officer of 1Link Najeeb Agrawalla signed the agreement at the regulator’s office on Thursday. The banks in Pakistan will develop the necessary interface, a module with 1Link and add SECP as a biller in the billers list.
Once the system is up running the SECP e-services users would be able to pay their dues easily via ATMs or internet/mobile banking.
Mehmood at the occasion said, the SECP has hosted reform measures resulting in streamlined corporate growth in Pakistan, these measures lead to business sector formalization and documentation of economy.
After this development, the company registration process will be simpler than ever before. The SECP has launched online company registration process last year, which resulted in an increase in the number of the companies registered in Pakistan. But the system still had many areas to be updated, the quick payment option is another milestone in this development.
