SC Directed Federal Govt. to Formulate 30 Accountability Courts within a Month

SC advised the federal government to create 30 new accountability report within a month and present the progress report in Feb’21.

Recently, the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan notified Pakistan’s federal government to formulate 30 new accountability courts within a month.

The SC also directed the government to fill the vacant position of the law secretary.

Ministry of Law requires responsible personnel to run the ministry.

In a hearing, Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Gulzar Ahmed was informed that approval for hiring for the said position is under process. The Finance Ministry and Establishment Division have already approved the recruitment, and the process of hiring will start from January 11, 2021.

The Ministry of Law and Justice, later, submitted their progress report stating that 30 new accountability courts will soon be developed.

It is further added that the SC advised the ministry to submit an updated report in the second week of February 2021 with the progress during phase 1.
