Foreign-based Pakistanis can now invest in Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs). All they need is to open a Foreign Currency Value Account.
The State Bank of Pakistan has introduced this Foreign Currency Value Account (FCVA) to facilitate both the foreign and local Pakistanis having assets outside the country to invest in NPCs. All they need is to prove that these assets are registered and declared with the FBR.
In doing so, no investment should exceed the maximum value of foreign assets, the updated wealth statements should be declared with FBR, and other guidelines by SBP must be followed by the investor.
SBP also instructed the financial institutes to accept these investments to follow the guideline appropriately.
All these investments would be in USD and so as the Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs)
