Saudi Arabia, UAE Gave $5 billion Financial Package to Pakistan

Hammad Azhar—the Minister for Revenue on Monday said that Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates have offered $5.5 billion financial package to Pakistan.

While answering to a question he said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has offered 3 billion dollars, the UAE has given 2 billion dollars and Qatar has offered 500 million dollars, as per the reports of Radio Pakistan.

While responding to another question, he said that the government of PTI retired public debt of worth 9.1 billion dollars.

The minister further informed that the government had introduced direct credit system under which pension is directly deposited to the accounts of the pensioners.

Previously on the 22nd of October, Saudi Arabia offered its support for Pakistan at all the levels, it possibly could.

The Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan—Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki said that his nation was ready to aid Islamabad at every level and said that both the nations were enjoying good ties.

Expressing his views on the occasion he said that the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had seen a significant improvement in the recent past.

As per the latest development, FBR has extended the income tax returns filing date.
