The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are to arrive in Islamabad today.
Their visit is for one day.
During the visit, it is anticipated that the Saudi Foreign Affairs Minister—Adel bin Ahmed al-Jubeir would be meeting with the Prime Minister—Imran Khan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS)—General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Minister for Foreign Affairs—Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
In the meetings, the bilateral relations between the two countries and matters pertaining to regional development would be discussed. The visit of the Saudi foreign minister to Pakistan has been announced after his meeting with the ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia—Raja Ejaz in Riyadh on Sunday.
Previously, a telephonic contact was made between PM Khan and the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman during which MbS was apprised on the current situation in the India-occupied Kashmir.
It is important to mention that this was the third telephonic contact that was made between Mohammad bin Salman and PM Khan.
On the other hand, the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister of the UAE—Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan AL Nahyan is also scheduled to land in Islamabad today and to have meetings with the top civil and military leadership of Pakistan.
