Saudi Arabia to Give Funds for Mohmand, Diamer-Bhasha Dam

ARY News reported thatSaudi Arabia would be giving funds to Pakistan for the 5 projects of energy which includes Mohmand, Diamer Bhasha dam.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) would be signed between Islamabad and Riyadh in this matter during the upcoming visit of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.

As per sources, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would be signing a MoU of 1.275billion Saudi Arabian Riyal for the 5 energy projects.

They revealed that Saudi Arabia would give 375million SAR for the Diamer-Bhasha Dam and 300 SAR for the Mohmand Dam.

The Kingdom would be giving a grant of 153.7 million SAR for the Jamshoro Power Project, 247.5 million SAR for the Shonter Project and 131.2 million SAR for the Jagran Hydro Power Project, as per sources.

On Friday a summary would be presented in the federal cabinet regarding the Saudi Funds for the development and MoU.

The crown prince would be reaching Pakistan on the invitation of the Prime Minister—Imran Khan on the 16th of February that is Saturday.

The 2-day visit of the crown prince would be further promoting the mutual cooperation between the two countries, as informed by Dr Muhammad Faisal—the spokesperson of the foreign office.

The crown prince along with a high-powered delegation which includes the members of the Royal family, leading businessmen, and key ministries would be coming to Pakistan as revealed by the sources.
