Saudi Arabia Suspends Flights to Pakistan


Coronavirus and its uncontrollable spread have panicked people all over the globe. Temporarily, Saudi Arabia has suspended travel and flight operations to many countries including Pakistan, India. The fear of coronavirus is the primary reason for the suspension of flights.

Other than Pakistan, the countries included in this suspension of flights are European Union, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Sudan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Eritrea, Kenya, Djibouti, and Somalia. The Kingdom has suspended the entry of people coming from these states.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia has suspended passenger traffic via all land crossings with Jordan. Commercial and cargo traffic is permitted and the passage of exceptional humanitarian cases.

Health workers in the Kingdom from the Philippines and India are excluded from this decision. Evacuation, shipping, and trade trips are taking necessary precautions. Till now, Saudi Arabia has 45 coronavirus cases.

In an earlier article, we informed our readers that the airlines of China made the announcement that they would partially be suspending their flights between Beijing and Karachi amid the coronavirus outbreak.

There is no exact vaccination to combat this novel coronavirus as yet, but chances are high that a patient might recover or get cured within 15 to 20 days of the contagious disease.

In Pakistan, the total count of coronavirus cases has jumped to 19. Also, as per the latest reports, Pakistan received nearly 12,000 coronavirus testing kits from China.
