The government of Saudi Arabia has made an announcement about softening its visa policy for India, and rest of the world, however, the visa policy would remain same as old for Pakistan.
The Saudi government has eased the visa policy and lessened the visa fees for the citizens of the European nations and other countries, including India. The fee of 90-day visit visa has been reduced from 2000 Saudi Riyal to 305 Saudi Riyal, but unfortunately, Pakistani citizens would not be able to benefit from this opportunity. Exactly on the same pattern, the visa fees for 180-day and 360-day visa has also been reduced.
A Pakistani citizen has to pay rupees 0.1 million to rupees 0.4 million for attaining the tourist visa.
The double standards displayed by the country had placed a question mark not only for the government but also for the Pakistani nation.
As per sources, the foreign ministry of Pakistan was completely not aware of his entire situation.
Last year the government of Saudi Arabia had decided to promote Hajj, Umrah, business and cultural activities. The government has also got the intentions of making more visiting places throughout the Kingdom for boosting the tourism industry of the Kingdom.
As per the estimated figure, the government of Saudi Arabia would be spending 35 billion pounds on the tourism sector until 2020. In 2030, it is expected that 30 million tourists would be paying a visit to the Kingdom.
The Saudi embassy in Pakistan was not available for comments despite repeated attempts to get their statement on the matter.
