Higher Education Commission (HEC) in collaboration with the government of Saudi Arabi would be providing fully-funded scholarships to 583 Pakistani students in 2019, as per the reports of Radio Pakistan on Monday.
The commission has given an invitation for sending applications by the talented students of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir for studying options in the Kingdom.
Under these scholarship opportunities, 3 main levels of programmes have been announced which includes Bachelor’s, Masters and PhD programmes for particular fields of studies except for the field of health or medicine.
Back in the month August last year that is 2018, Saudi Arabia announced 50 scholarships for the poor and less privileged students belonging to the province of Baluchistan in the undergraduate and graduate programmes at the renowned universities of Saudi Arabia.
Nawaf Syed Al-Maliki—the Saudi Ambassador extended this offer, who had called upon Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani—the chairman senate at the Parliament House and briefed him regarding the scholarships other than exchanging opinions and views on the topics of mutual interest.
He said that the fully funded scholarships would give students tuition fee and other required expenses other than a stipend that would be given to take care of the monthly expenses.
The Saudi ambassador informed that the number of scholarships would be made double in 2020 in order to facilitate more students from the province of Baluchistan to go abroad and acquire education.
