The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the health protocols for curbing the spread of the virus in the Umrah season of 2020, which is expected to commence from the 1st of October.
As per reports, the Hajj and Umrah Ministry of Saudi Arabia would be granting permission letters to the ones performing Umrah. The pilgrims are to get themselves registered through the special application called “Amrana”. The booking for Umrah has started from yesterday that is the 27th of September.
Moreover, the pilgrims would be offered a 3 hours time for performing their Umrah rituals.
The count of the pilgrims performing Umrah on a daily basis would be 6,000 in the initial phase which is commencing from the 4th of October. The pilgrims would be transported in special buses to Masjid-e-Haram.
The pilgrims from Pakistan and other parts of the world would be permitted to perform the Umrah rituals from the 15th of Rabi-ul-Awal.
The pilgrims have been told to strictly adhere to the issued SOPs in order to counter the spread of the virus.
Previously, the government of Saudi Arabia had announced to slowly reopen the Umrah pilgrimage activities from the 4th of October.
