It was informed by the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting—Fawad Chaudhry that the federal cabinet has taken the decision of forming a Sarmaya Pakistan Company to revive the one hundred and ninety-three public sector entities which are under loss. The company is being formed for managing the affairs of these loss-making entities in a better way.
While briefing the media following the cabinet meeting, Fawad Chaudhry said that the revolutionary step was taken to involve the firm to provisionally operate the loss-making public-sector firms.
He further informed that the company board of governors would be led by Imran Khan—the Prime Minister. The board would comprise of three federal ministers and seven members belonging to the private sector. It would then be presenting its suggestions to the cabinet for deciding a future course of the action.
On November 29 the prime minister would be briefing the entire nation about the achievements during the initial hundred days of the government’s rule, as told by the minister.
Fawad Chaudhry informed that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken major leaps in the initial 100 days, which is very much different from the earlier governments who have failed to meet the public expectations in given period of time.
