The date for the next Samsung event has been set. Smartphones from the Galaxy Note 20 family and probably also the Galaxy Z Fold 2 are due to be unveiled on August 5. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the so-called “Galaxy Unpacked 2020” will take place virtually.
After increased leaks and breakdowns, the South Korean manufacturer is now announcing the official date of its next keynote. The live stream will be broadcast on the Samsung website on August 5 at 3:00 pm GMT, is expected to also be broadcast on YouTube. The introduction of the new Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra is considered set, even if the official confirmation is still pending. Samsung itself had accidentally leaked the first pictures of the upcoming flagship. In addition, the invitation to the unpacked event shows an S-Pen and the previously seen color “Mystic Bronze”.
Foldable smartphones should also be the focus
Highly popular is a slightly drilled version of the Samsung Galaxy Flip 5G, which should receive a new, more powerful processor with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+. Likewise, the company could save the Galaxy Watch 3 for the big presentation, although there are some signs that the new smartwatch will be launched in July. The two Android tablets Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 + and the True Wireless headphones Galaxy Buds Live are also said to play a role during the keynote.
Apart from that, the rumors surrounding the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 are intensifying. The next generation of the foldable smartphone is supposed to use a 7.7-inch display with a resolution of 2213 x 1689 pixels. A second screen on the outside, however, could be measured at 6.23 inches. There is also speculation about the price of the new folding model. This should be over 2000 euros.
