Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 Bug Crashes Camera

Samsung has recently released night scene mode to Galaxy Note 9 as well as Galaxy S9 series which is inherently supported in Galaxy S10 series, it seems that the release of update went wrong somewhere as feedback from users on XDA forum confirms that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 both crashes during the continuous shooting in Super Night Mode, it crashes the camera and do not save any photos.

Some mobile sites tested the feature and well and confirmed the problem, however, they couldn’t find any reason for this crash. According to the report, if users reset the camera setting it may reduce the chances of camera crash, however, the problem is still there are cannot be eliminated completely with these temporary fixes.

Samsung Releases Note 10 Teaser Ahead of Launch on August 7

The current solution proposed by one of the developers indicates that switching the camera to default 4:4 ratio and 16:9 ratio which reduces the image quality to 9.1 megapixels in 16:9 mode and 12 megapixels in 4:3 mode could avoid the problem temporarily, however, if the users need to enhance the image quality and use the Super Night Mode, they might face frequent camera crash. Samsung might have rolled out the feature quickly to the users before testing it thoroughly or it might want to get the bug reports from the users to fix it properly, the company might release an update to fix this issue permanently in the coming weeks, until then the users have to face this issue.
