Samsung Galaxy J Series will end soon and replaced by Galaxy R series

The South Korean manufacturer started Samsung Galaxy J series back in 2015 with tons of midrange and entry-level smartphones to capture the budget market. According to new reports, the Samsung Galaxy J series will end soon and replaced by Galaxy R series.

In July, some reports unveiled that Samsung is working on a new smartphone series named “Galaxy R”, a new report from an industry source indicates that the new Galaxy R series will be used in a brand new smartphone series with Snapdragon 450 chip.

Samsung started Galaxy R back in 2011 with a smartphone that was almost a counterpart of previous Galaxy S2, the device was discontinued due to some hardware issues, and eventually, the company cut the production and killed the device.

The Galaxy R name is expected to reenter the market; if it does it will kill the prominent Samsung Galaxy J series and replace it. The new Galaxy R series would target the low-entry level segment though.

Samsung is also expected to come with infinite display and special camera features would lift the device in the budget market.

There are not many details about the first Samsung Galaxy R device yet but you can expect Samsung launching the new series in the first half of the next year.
