Pakistan’s former captain and opening left-hand batsman Salman but is ready to deliver for Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League (PSL-4).
Mohammad Hafeez during the last contest received a thumb injury, due to this Hafeez is out of the tournament, however, Salman Butt is going to replace Hafeez in Lahore Qalandars. While talking to local TV channel Butt said, “It’s great news for me, I have worked really hard in the past and finally I got chance to exhibit my skills at higher level. I am focused now to perform well in the PSL and for Lahore Qalandars, it would also create more chances for me to represent the country once again.”
Butt also said, “Lahore Qalandars coach Aqib Javed approached him and asked him if he wishes to replace Mohammad Hafeez in Lahore Qalandars side, he said that was the best message that he received after so many years.
Butt has been out of the international cricket for almost a decade now; he was going through tough time and struggling to get back his lost position in the cricket world.
Lahore Qalandars coach Aqib Javed said, “it was very unfortunate to lose Hafeez as he was one of the major strengths of Lahore Qalandars but players like Salman Butt can replace him, he has been available in the past and is in good form, I think he deserves a chance to showcase his abilities and skills one more time at this level. Now it’s time to see how Salman Butt can cover up Hafeez’s loss, he is an experienced batsman and had been quite successful in the past.
