Saba Qamar’s Hindi Medium Broke Indian Film Records in China

Saba Qamar—the famous Pakistani actress known and loved for her phenomenal performances both in television serials and films has all the right reasons to feel proud and happy as her Bollywood debut film—Hindi Medium has crossed all the Hindi cinema records in China.

The film was recently screened in China, and there the film broke all the records ever made by the Indian films.

Within just the first weekend of the film’s screening, the film starring Irfan Khan and Saba Qamar gathered in INR 138.42 crore, hence making it the biggest opening for a Hindi film in China.

The film has broken the records of Amir Khan’s—Dangal which raked in around INR 12.99 crore and Salman Khan’s—Bajrangi Bhaijaan that made INR 14.61.

The film—Hindi Medium directed by Saket Chaudhry depicts the story of two parents who aspires to send their daughter to get the education not possible for them to afford.

The film when released in India crossed the mark of fifty crore in the Indian box office, as was revealed by Taran Adarsh—the movie business analyst. It was released on 19th May 2017.

Hindi Medium was nominated at the latest Filmfare awards in many categories including the best actress for Saba Qamar. The film was able to acquire two awards one for the best actor (Irfan) and for the best film.

As per the latest reports, there would a sequel of the film but unluckily Saba Qamar would not be a part of it.
