A Russian tech company has expressed its willingness to invest in Pakistan.
As per the reports of local media, the Russian tech firm is interested to make the investment in the electric vehicle industry of Pakistan with the most recent technology called Nano Tubes.
As per an issued statement by the Press Information Department—PID, a delegation of the Russian private firm, headed by Mr Igor Kim, called on to the Federal Minister on Climate Change—Malik Amin Aslam.
During the conversation, Mr Kim said that the Nano Tube technology was being used in all kinds of materials with scores of purposes from reinforcement to increase conductivity.
They added that their product was microscopic and was extensively being used in the electric batteries, in the making of LED screens, construction materials, plastics, solar panels, conductors, tires and clothes.
Malik Amin Aslam said that they want to make Pakistan centre for the right-hand-drive electric vehicles all across the world. He said that the proposed policy would offer tariff incentives for making the EV prices at par with the traditional vehicles.
The minister also talked about the issue of climate change and said that the government was taking it seriously and taking many steps in that regard.
He informed that the government has also planned a creative dedicated district for electric vehicles and linked technologies.
He further added that Pakistan is an extensive market for 2 to 3 wheelers and there is great potential for investment.
The Russian delegation lauded the efforts of the present government and expressed their willingness to work with the Pakistani entrepreneurs.
