After a rise in COVID-19 cases in the provincial capital of Sindh, the decision has been taken that the restaurants, wedding halls, and the respective schools, who would be found breaking any of the government-issued SOPs would be closed.
As per the reports, a meeting led by the Karachi Commissioner yesterday shared that there has been a sharp surge in the coronavirus cases during the span of the last week. The commissioner was further told that the restaurants and the marriage halls found violating the SOPs would be shut down.
He also directed that the COVID-19 testing in schools should be increased and any schools found breaking the SOPs should be sealed.
The meeting took the decision that the SOPs implementation in parks would also be ensured. He said that no one would be permitted to enter the parks without wearing face masks.
All the Deputy Commissioners have been told to submit their related progress reports to the Commissioner by tonight.
On the other hand, the Mirpurkhas Deputy Commissioner-Zahid Memon died on Thursday after combating against COVID-19.
