Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Monday announced that the Afghan refugees who are registered in Pakistan can open their bank accounts.
PM Khan took Twitter and said that from now onwards, Afghan refugees in Pakistan can participate in the formal economy of Pakistan.
“I have issued instructions today that Afghan refugees who are registered can open bank accounts and from now onwards they can participate in the formal economy of the country. This should have been done a long time ago,” he tweeted.
The Prime Minister further said that allowing the Afghan refugees to open their bank accounts in Pakistan should have been done a long time ago.
