On Sunday the Pakistan Meteorological Department gave a weather advisory and predicted a dust-thunderstorm and rain predictions in the upper and central parts of the country starting from Tuesday to Thursday.
As per the Met Department, the expected dust storms and rains would happen owing to the westerly wave, which would be entering the western parts most likely on Tuesday and would affect the upper and central parts until Thursday and would continue over the northern areas till Friday.
The PMD also made predictions that under the spell of the weather system, extended dust-thunder storms linked with strong winds were anticipated in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Tuesday to Thursday, while in Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan from Tuesday to Friday.
Dust-thunderstorm and rain along with gusty winds is also expected at the various places in the Northeast Baluchistan(which includes Zhob, Sibbi, Kalat, Quetta and Nasirabad divisions), Upper Punjab(—Sargodha, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Gujranwala divisions), in the federal capital from Tuesday to Thursday, while in the southern/central Punjab which includes (Sahiwal. D.G. Khan, Bahawalpur and Multan divisions) at isolated places in the Sukkur division on Wednesday and Thursday.
The PMD advised farmers to take precautionary steps during the forecast span.
In the meantime, the Met Department has forecast dry weather in most parts of the country and hot weather in the plain areas of the provinces of Sindh and Punjab in the span of the next 24 hours.
