Railways to Launch Mianwali Express on Friday

Pakistan Railways is to launch Mianwali Express on Friday. Prime Minister Imran Khan would be performing the inauguration of the new train for facilitating the people of Mianwali.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed—the Minister for Railways while talking to media shared this information.

The Mianwali Express train would be equipped with a proper air-conditioning system in the coaches.  As per an official, the addition of the AC coaches is a significant addition to the services of Pakistan Railways. The fare of the AC coaches would be Rs.800 while for the economy class the price of a ticket would be Rs.350.

The train would return from Mari Indus and Daud Khel.

The train would make 10 stops, which are:

  • Shahdara Bagh
  • Qila Sheikhpura
  • Sangla Hill
  • Chiniot
  • Shaheenabad
  • Sargodha
  • Khushab
  • Kundian
  • Mianwali
  • Daudkhel

Sheikh Rasheed said that Pakistan Railways has successfully increased the number of passengers to 7 million during the span of the last 10 months.

An official of the department added that the Pakistan Railways had already introduced non-stop train from Rawalpindi to Karachi—Sir Syed Express on the 3rd of July for facilitating the passengers and for earning more profits for the department.

He also said that the government was taking all possible steps for overcoming the losses of Pakistan Railways and for ensuring the provision of modern, comfortable, swift and safe means of transportation to the passengers.
