The Ministry of Railways is planning to close the access to famous places along the side tracks for preventing accidents and other mishaps at the pathways of trains.
As per an official of the Ministry instructions regarding the matter have been given out by the Minister for Railways—Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed to the Divisional Superintendents of Railways.
He also said that no educational institutions playgrounds or small industries would be constructed along the rail tracks nearly 1,700 kilometres in distance.
He also added that the Railways Divisional Superintendents have given out notices to the industrial unit owners and schools for removing their entrances from these areas. The official also mentioned that legal action would be taken against the ones who would be doing violations of the given directives.
He also added that if the Divisional Superintendents would fail to implement these orders, then they would be held responsible.
He also said that the ministry has given out a warning to the people living near the tracks to remain vigilant and conscious while walking along the railway tracks other than barring the activities of children and kids. He further added that strict action would be taken against the encroachers who have taken the railway land illegally.
The official also informed that trees would be planted on both sides of the tracks. He also applauded the initiatives of the present government for building a healthy environment.
