Tania Aidrus, the chief of PM’s Digital Pakistan Vision campaign said that the Queen of Netherlands—Máxima Zorreguieta Cerruti has affirmed her commitment to helping Pakistan promote digital identity as a public good.
According to the details, Tania met the Queen Maxima of the Netherlands on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit being held in Davos.
“Great seeing Queen Maxima #UNSGSA for #FinancialInclusion at #Davos2020. She talked fondly about her last visit to Pakistan and is deeply committed to helping us promote digital identity as a public good and bridging the gender digital divide in Pakistan,” she said through a tweet.
It is worth mentioning here that Queen Maxima visited Pakistan from November 25-27 in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate (UNSGSA) for Inclusive Finance for Development.
During her stay in Pakistan, she met Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi among other top officials of the country.
During the meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands appreciated his efforts of prioritizing the access of women to finance and digitizing government payments and procedures.
