Qualcomm’s Snapdragon to Use Samsung’s 4nm Process Node

Qualcomm to use Samsung’s 4nm process node for its new flagship – the Snapdragon 895.

Qualcomm recently revealed the new Snapdragon 888 Plus. It’s an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 888 with a new AI Engine. The company now intends to release yet another flagship later this year. This new chipset would be the Snapdragon 895 and would be based on a more advanced node.

According to a source, the older Snapdragon 888 is based on Samsung’s 5nm process, while the next flagship would use a 4nm process node. The source added:

Moreover, we also learned that this new Snapdragon 895 comes with model number SM8450 and has a new X65 5G modem, which is also built on Samsung’s 4nm mode. In addition to this, the silicon would also feature CPU cores based on Arm’s new designs and the Adreno 730 GPU.

We also heard that after this 895, the company would then release the upper-variant with a Snapdragon 895 Plus model.
