Qatar has amended its travel policy for the Pakistani citizens. The revision has been done to facilitate the Pakistani nationals to take benefit of enjoying visa-free entry into the Middle Eastern nation.
As per the revised policy, the passengers should possess passports having at least six months validity. They must also have a valid credit card.
The other instructions included in the revised travel policy are as follows:
- The travelling passengers should have and provide a confirmed hotel reservation
- The passengers must also have a confirmed return ticket
- The passengers travelling directly from Pakistan must have a vaccination certificate of polio
The visa would be granted to the travelling passengers having validity for up to thirty days without any charges. The visa could also be extended for the exact same period once the return ticket is confirmed.
Earlier, the Pakistani citizens were allowed to enter the Middle Eastern country without having the need to show confirmed reservations. They could enter Qatar with an amount which equals QAR 5,000.
The visa-free entry program was launched last year by Qatar. The policy was introduced for more than eighty nations which included India, Malaysia, Georgia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Back in November of 2016, Qatar started a free-transit visa, which permitted the passengers belonging to all the nationalities having a transit of at least five hours in Qatar to stay in the country for up to 96 hours which makes four days.
Last year in May Qatar in association with Qatar Airways introduced a +Qatar package. This package includes a free night’s stay in a five or four-star hotel of Doha, besides giving a free transit visa.
