Qatar Records its First Death by Coronavirus

The health ministry in Qatar reported the first death from the coronavirus yesterday, also they confirmed that the country has in total 590 cases of coronavirus and 28 new cases have also been recorded.

On Twitter, the ministry told everyone that the person who died of coronavirus was a 57-year-old Bangladeshi national resident living in Qatar who was suffering from chronic diseases already.

On the other hand, in Saudi Arabia, their health ministry confirmed ninety-nine new cases and also 1 death which totals the death toll to 4. In Oman 21 new cases have been discovered, Kuwait 10 and in the United Arab Emirates 63 fresh cases have been reported.

The newly reported cases in the three countries make the official figure to; 152 in Oman, 235 in Kuwait, 457 in Bahrain, 468 in the United Arab Emirates and 1,203 in Saudi Arabia.

4 deaths in Bahrain and 2 in the United Arab Emirates have been reported which makes the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) stand at 11.

In Saudi Arabia, curfew has been extended in a few neighborhoods of Medina as a preventative measure for 24 hours per day so that the virus can be contained from spreading.

The coronavirus outbreak had led to lockdown in many countries, but now there are some women and children facing domestic violence. China, Brazil, Italy, and Germany are already witnessing many cases of domestic violence.
