Pakistan has been informed by Qatari officials that the Visa Facilitation Centres will start operating by the end of December. These centers are located in Karachi and Islamabad.
Major Abdullah Khalifa Al Muhanadi who is the Director Management of Recruitment Support Service met Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari who is the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resources.
In the meeting, Qatar’s proposal of offering 100,000 jobs to Pakistanis was discussed. Bukhari was informed that through the establishment of Visa Facilitation Centres the visa processing will accelerate. Employers will have to pay the fees that will be required during the process. Under the wages protection system, the Pakistani workers will be protected.

Major Abdullah informed that Qatari hiring agencies have been asked to provide 100,000 jobs to Pakistani labor. Workshops will be organized to ensure that skilled and talented Pakistanis gets jobs in Qatar.
A suggestion was given by Bukhari to establish a combine working team that will be used to categorize the Pakistani labor according to its skills. It will ensure that the hiring procedure is systemized and it is effectively implemented.
PM Assistant requested that more jobs are opened for the Pakistani unemployed labor returning from Saudi Arabia other than the 100,000 jobs. Another suggestion given by him was to expand the Visa Facilitation Centres in other cities including Lahore and Peshawar. Bukhari was assured that the matter will be discussed with the Qatari government and the decision will be made accordingly.
