Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Minister for Foreign Affairs said that during the visit to Qatar, it has been decided that Qatar would buy two gas power plants from Pakistan and would also built two other power plants in the Pakistan.
According to the details, Qatar would also financially support Pakistan for the revival of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
The Foreign Minister said that Qatar was interested to invest in the country’s agriculture sector pertaining to processing fields in Pakistan. The minister further said that a delegation of the business community of Qatar would also visit Pakistan to explore the opportunities of investment in different sectors of the country.
“Qatar had also lifted the ban on the import of rice from Pakistan as a goodwill gesture,” minister added.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad had a meeting in which they discussed the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) deal and reviewed the future price of the fuel.
