Earlier today, news came out that the Punjab University has finally agreed to take online examinations rather than taking on-campus examinations during the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the reports, the decision got finalized considering the HOD’s meeting held on January 5th and the Dean’s Committee meeting which was held on the 20th of January.
As per the Registrar PU, the examinations for all semesters of BS, MPhil, and MS will be taken online.
Moreover, the PU’s administration has instructed all the relevant HODs (Head of Departments) to make mandatory arrangements for taking online examinations.
On the other hand, it is noteworthy that the PU’s administration has made the decision to conduct online examinations regardless of the IPEMC (Inter-Provincial Education Ministers) decision to recommence all the universities of Pakistan from the 1st of February.
As per the latest development, the Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari has revealed that the Punjab government will be helping the poor by providing them free wheelchairs, hearing aids, and sewing machines in bulk.
