It has been decided by the Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab to recruit 10,000 teachers for government colleges all across the province.
According to a report, this decision has been taken by HEC Punjab as there is quite a shortage of teachers at public sector colleges in the province.
HED Punjab has prepared a summary which was sent for approval to Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar.
After the CM approves, the HED will begin the recruitment process to hire 10,000 teachers.
Back in August many reports came up that claimed that the Punjab government had started the rationalization process leading to 25,000 teachers to lose their jobs.
But the reports were denounced by the Focal Person to CM Punjab on Digital Media, Azhar Mashwani. He said that the provincial government plans to hire more teachers.
