Sardar Usman Buzdar, the CM of Punjab on Sunday said that his government had the plans of constructing 9 new hospitals in the province.
He said that during his visit to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Taunsa where he asked after the patients in the various wards of the hospital.
The CM paid a visit to the cardiac unit and other wards of the hospitals and reviewed the expansion project of the hospital. He said that nine thousand beds would surge in the health sector with the making of the 9 new hospitals in Punjab. But, he expressed displeasure at the complaints of the patients for getting medical tests done from outside the hospital and said that the facility of free medicines and medical tests should be given to the patients in the hospital at any cost.
He said that strict action would be taken against the officials deemed responsible in the case of any future complaint by any patient. The CM talked to the patients and their attendants and asked regarding the facilities being offered at the hospital.
Buzdar on Sunday showed string concerns over the poor sanitation conditions in the city.
He has asked for a report from the commissioner, deputy commissioner and the Lahore Waste Management Company authorities over the poor cleanliness conditions in the city. The CM asked the officials to make use of all the resources for removing garbage from the city, adding it was the duty of the related departments to ensure cleanliness. He mentioned that no negligence would be accepted in this matter.
