In Punjab, all business sectors have been allowed to continue their operation with proper safety precautions prescribed by the government. However, educational institutions and marriage halls will remain closed.
An official notification has been issued in this regard by the Primary and Secondary Healthcare in NCC (National Coordination Committee) meeting held on the 6th of August. During the meeting, it was decided that all the business sectors will be reopened from August 10th whereas the educational sector will resume from the 15th of September.
The notification clearly stated that all sectors will continue their operation from the 10th of August under strict Standard Operating Procedures except the educational institutions and marriage halls.
As far as the religious congregations are concerned, they will be allowed after being approved by the consultants concerned under health guidelines. On the other hand, the weekly holidays and business hours have been relapsed back as they were before COVID-19.
All the transports have been allowed to resume their services with proper safety measures and SOPs.
Recently on August 6, Asad Umar Planning and Development Minister said that the government has planned to resume business activities like; cafes, parks, gym, dine-in restaurants, and cinemas from the 10th of August.
All the educational institutions will reopen from September 15th,2020.
