On Wednesday, the Primary and Healthcare Department of Punjab has recorded 560 COVID-19 cases in Punjab during the span of the last 24 hours, thus increasing the count to 8,693.
The health department said that the provincial death tally now stands at 156, while 25 patients are still in serious condition, 3,086 patients have recovered from the novel virus.
As per the health department of Punjab, 106,927 tests have been done so far in the province.
In the meantime, the Health Minister of Punjab, Dr. Yasmin Rashid had said that the government of Punjab is trying to ensure to provide proper treatment to the COVID-19 affectees.
Dr. Yasmin also said that more steps are being taken for the better treatment of the patients who are in the ICUs.
The provincial minister said that Punjab has got enough doctors and paramedical staff in the government owned hospitals. She also said that the doctors’ morale and spirits are high, who are serving the coronavirus patients selflessly.
Previously, the government of Punjab took the decision to further ease the lockdown restrictions. An official announcement about the lockdown relaxation will be made on the 9th of May.
