In the efforts of improving the quality of education and infrastructure in schools throughout the province, the Government of Punjab School Education Department (SED) has introduced an online portal for registering the complaints against public and private sector schools.
SED has posted on Twitter recently and has shared details regarding their online portal which could be accessed via their website. The options provided on the website helps one in registering as well as keeping a track on the complaints.
A user could also launch a complaint just by calling on the Official helpline of SED at 042 111 112 020.
Pakistan’s education sector is facing severe challenges. Although there has been an increase in the budgets, the enrolment in the public sector schools is still low, the quality of education imparted is low and there are not enough buildings or teachers.
In the meantime, private schools are charging sky-high fees for giving sub-standard education. This definitely is the reason that the Sindh Hugh Court has instructed the private schools to not charge more than one month’s tuition fee from the students.
This could be referred to as one of the achievements of the Pakistan Information Technology (PITB) besides the digitization of many sectors of the province in the span of only 4 years.
This venture is led by the PMIU—Programme Information and Implementation Unit of Punjab Education Sector Reform Programme (PESRP).
This PMIU is a detailed online portal of school education throughout the province of Punjab, which was made by PITB and gives free and instant access to data regarding school education throughout the province.
