The Punjab House in Murree, Bhurban would be opened for the general public from Monday.
As per a spokesman of the government of Punjab, people could reside at the Punjab House Murree and the Annexe of the Governor in Bhurban by paying rent, as per the reports of Radio Pakistan.
According to the sources, the initiative of the government about the transformation of the government buildings into guest houses was a measure towards the eradication of VIP culture.

Previously in the month of August, the PM Khan made the announcement to open the Governor House of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Nathiagali for the public.
On Twitter PM Khan shared a video of the Governor House Nathiagali and said that these colonial symbols which cost crores yearly to the taxpayer in maintenance would now be taking money for the government.
The Governor House of Nathiagali was formed in 1923 and extends on an area of 76 kanals.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also made the speaker house, chief minister house, inspector general house and Karnak house open for the tourists.
