Punjab Govt. to Regularize 30,000 Contract-based Workers

Earlier today, the government of Punjab announced to regularize 30,000 contact-based workers all over Punjab.

According to the details, the Punjab government has hunted for details of all the employees working on a contractual basis in different departments of the province.

The government found out that many people earning daily wages in local bodies, labor, health, and education are waiting to get regularized for their services.

The regularization process will be held phase-wise.

Previously, Usman Buzdar Chief Minister of Punjab launched the Punjab Rozgar Scheme.

A contract was signed between the Bank of Punjab and Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC).

At the inauguration ceremony of the scheme, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the provincial government is going to provide easy loans to the youth under the scheme having a worth of around Rs.30 billion.

According to him, the initiative came out in order to transform the skills of youth into investment. He further added that over 1.6 million people will be able to get employment under the Punjab Rozgar Scheme.
