Punjab Govt. to Provide Scholarships to Ex-FATA, GB and Baloch Students


Earlier today, the government of Punjab made an announcement that it is going to provide 22, 000 scholarships to all the deserving students of Ex-FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas), Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

As per the reports, the announcement was made on Friday by Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar Governor of Punjab at a press conference.

According to the governor of Punjab, the 4-year scholarship program is going to offer 18, 356 half-funded, and 1,216 fully-funded scholarships to all the deserving students. Also, the scholarship of the existing Baloch students’ will remain undamaged.

Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar further added that this package is one of the biggest ones in the 72 years of history which will provide full and half scholarships to around 22, 000 students from different provinces.

The Punjab Governor asked all students to contact him at his office in case of any difficulty. He moreover, confirmed his devotion to fulfilling every promise he made about this program.

Last month, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar went to Balochistan and consulted with the Punjab Minister of Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfaraz, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, the Chief Secretary Punjab and also met various Public/Private universities’ administration in order to confirm the scholarship program.
