On Saturday, the government of Punjab decided to impose micro smart lockdown in different areas of the province for at least 2 months in order to avoid the revival of the deadly virus.
According to ARY News reports, in the micro smart lockdown, only small localities like one building with several units or small neighborhoods will be sealed.
The micro smart lockdown will be imposed in small localities or streets according to instructions given by the federal government.
In the last twenty-four, Punjab has reported ninety-nine new coronavirus cases. The total tally of the coronavirus cases in Punjab has reached up to 96, 057.

The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department of Punjab has also released a report according to which no deaths were reported in the last twenty-four hours. Around 2, 188 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus in Punjab so far.
Moreover, 857, 216 samples have been taken for tests in the province to detect coronavirus. On the other hand, almost 91, 134 COVID patients have recovered in Punjab.
The healthcare department in Punjab has also asked people to continue taking preventive measures until the virus completely disappears from the country.
